All the Stress Busters Events for Spring 2023

With finals coming up, students deserve time to find rest and relaxation in the midst of stressful schedules. Check out these Stress Busters events, hosted by Student Affairs and the Health and Wellness Promotion.

Recurring Events

Craft Your Cares Away with the LGBTQ+ Center

Stop by Taylor Hall 101A to make friendship bracelets, sculpt clay art, create a quilting square, or color. Craft supplies will be stocked from April 24 to April 28 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. every day.

Fuel Up for Finals

The Multicultural Center, located in Taylor Hall 101, is offering grab-and-go snacks. All students are welcome to grab snacks on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., as well as Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. 

Monday

Community Compliment Chain with Active Minds

Active Minds invites students to stop by Taylor Courtyard from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and write a compliment, which will be added as a link to the compliment chain. As a reward students are welcome to grab a tasty treat.

Zumba Group Exercise Class

This Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class is hosted by Campus Recreation in Campus Center 055X at 6 p.m. Students do not need a campus recreation membership to attend. 

Tuesday

Yoga Group Exercise Class

This relaxing class with a focus on breath and alignment is hosted by Campus Recreation in Campus Center 055X from 7:15-8:15 a.m. Students do not need a campus recreation membership to attend.

Paws and Relax with Dogs and Cats

Furry friends from IndyHumane will be in the Campus Center Atrium from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Communal Coloring and Clay Time

Contribute to a mural-sized coloring sheet or sculpt with air dry clay, with snacks provided. Hosted by the Campus Center Cultural Arts Gallery and GPSG from 2:30-4:30 p.m. 

Chill Out Before Finals

Chill out with the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, grab some ice cream, and watch your favorite shows in University Hall 1006 from 3-6 p.m. 

Cycling Group Exercise Class

Join Campus Recreation in Campus Center 055Y at 6 p.m. for a 30 minute high energy, low impact class where you choose your intensity. 

Yoga with Kriya

Vinyasa yoga is open to students of all levels in Campus Center 309 from 6-7 p.m. 

Wednesday

Coffee Bar and MRE (Meals Ready-To-Eat) Tasting

IUPUI ROTC will be at the first floor Campus Center tables from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Make a free coffee with your choice of syrups, creamers and sugars and taste test an MRE.

Summer Hobby Stuff Swap and Tote Bag Decorating

From 1-4 p.m. stop by the Campus Center atrium to bring any hobby items (such as books, craft supplies, games, etc.) that you are no longer using and pick up your next summer hobby! Students are also welcome to decorate a tote bag. 

Pound Group Exercise Class

Join Campus Recreation at 4 p.m. in Campus Center 055X for a full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements.

De-Stress Fair

Join Housing and Residential Life in the second floor landing of University Tower from 7-9 p.m. for chair massages, crafting, coloring, button and magnet making, snacks and more!

Thursday 

UCSC’s End-of-Year Bash

From 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in Taylor Courtyard, enjoy inflatables, free UCSC merch, food, cupcakes, and more!

Stress Less with Snacks from Around the World

Take a break and join the Office of International Affairs in Taylor Hall 104 from 2-4 p.m. with de-stress activities while enjoying snacks from around the world.

Pizza and Paint with InspireMe Fit

Hang out with student organizations in the Campus Center TV Lounge from 6-8:30 p.m. and enjoy a pizza and paint night.
