IUPUI Women's Soccer Aiming High after Historic Regular Season

  On Sept. 25, the IUPUI women’s soccer team concluded their regular season with a 2-0 win over their in-state rival, Purdue Fort Wayne. The win secured the Jags the two seed and a first-round bye in the Horizon League tournament. Despite an outstanding regular season performance, the Jags enter the tournament as underdogs to Milwaukee, who have won the last five Horizon League championships. IUPUI knows a thing or two about being underdogs. IUPUI came into the season ranked sixth out of eleven teams in the preseason poll, but massively overperformed those expectations.

IUPUI Breakup Made Official

After announcing their plan for a split in August 2022, Indiana University president Pamela Whitten and Purdue University president Mung Chiang made the breakup official on Wednesday, with a special signing ceremony in the Campus Center Atrium. In the special ceremony, both presidents made remarks and signed the papers that officially separate IUPUI into two universities within Indianapolis on June 30, 2024. Those new universities will be Indiana University Indianapolis and Purdue University in Indianapolis.
