Gary Webb
An American Investigative Journalist, Webb is most notably known for his "Dark Alliance" series exploring the oriigns of the crack-cocaine trade in LA. Webb was a contributer to the San Jose Mercurcy News Pulitzer winning coverage on the Loma Prieta earthquake. According to his Wikipedia page, "After high school Webb attended a community college in Indianapolis on a scholarship until his family moved to Cincinnati, when he then transferred to nearby Northern Kentucky University. Webb first began writing for his student newspaper at his college in Indianapolis." In A blog post from Holtz.com, Rex Davenport mentions the legacy of another editor of The Sagamore, Bill Lutholtz, as well as Webb, "Bill was a classic knowledge sponge. He wanted to know eveything. Stuck away in a box of black and white photos from sometime in 1974 is a pitcure of Bill in our office at the Sagamore...That same day, I took a few photos of our mutual friend, and staffer, Gary Webb."
