Salon art: Allen Whitehill Clowes exhibition at Herron

The Herron School of Art and Design, Indiana University’s own art school, is hosting an annual exhibition, the Allen Whitehill Clowes Collaborative. The exhibition is put on alongside Clowes Charitable Foundation and Hoosier Art Salon. This year's show began on March 7 and continued until April 4, 2026. The exhibit shows Indiana’s top Hoosier Art Salon awardees of the year and others as a part of the competition.

REVIEW: 'Iron Lung,' an independent film that surpasses big budget

“Iron Lung,” an independent film produced by the Markiplier Studio, has been an anticipated movie for fans of the director. Mark Fischbach, most known by his online persona Markiplier, directed the film and plays the main protagonist, Simon, who is forced to man a sealed submarine on an alien world in a sea of blood. With little knowledge of his task, Simon follows cryptic directions he can only assume will benefit humanity's survival.

GenAI review: a student's perspective

In the fall of 2025, IU enrolled all of its students in an online course called Gen AI 101, which earned students a microcredential that showed they had been trained to use artificial intelligence (AI) in an efficient way as a tool and thought partner. Some classes, including Foundations of Journalism and Mass Communications, have even asked students to complete this course.

Late 2025 Newfields art exhibition: A watercolor juried show

This year at Newfields Art Museum of Indianapolis, watercolor is a large theme in their temporary exhibitions. From the historic pieces of J.M.W. Turner, a forefather of watercolor to the modern local artists competing in a competition dedicated to watercolor, this art could be found within the state’s radius as Newfields was displaying the 43rd watercolor annual juried show.

Regatta: A first-timer’s guide

The 17th annual IU Regatta drew students, families and community members Sept. 27 to the Indianapolis Canal for a day of racing, music, activities and food. The event, hosted by the Division of Student Affairs, featured canoe races, a scavenger hunt, live entertainment and tents with hands-on activities.
