Blur revives Britpop with "The Ballad of Darren"

 In June 2023, 90s Britpop powerhouse Blur released an album for the first time after their 8-year hiatus, and the results are well worth the wait. Coming in at a tight 36 minutes, “The Ballad of Darren” is part concept album, part personal anthology. The significance of the titular Darren and his ballad are both still points of contention amongst fans, but the ideas conveyed through the album are clear.
