Harrison Center Displays Prodigies and Portents Collection

On Sunday, Congregants from Redeemer Presbyterian Church gathered for a Q & A with artist and curator of the Underground Gallery at the Harrison Center Johnny McKee about his latest collection of artwork. He has been an artist in Indianapolis since 1996, having attended the Herron School of Art at IUPUI. "This collection is the newest iteration of what I do," said McKee. "With Prodigies and Portents, it was interesting for me to think about the different omens and ideas that we see in the sky and in the clouds. I sort of thought about that for a while and that went in several different directions."

The collection opened on Jan 6 in the Harrison Center, which is open 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays.

From untouched drifts to slushy paths carved by footsteps, each photo highlights the stillness and simplicity that winter brings to campus life.

On Oct. 28, a protest to defend student journalism began in Taylor Courtyard at Indiana University Indianapolis, where protesters marched down West Michigan Street. The protest, organized by Maggie Hutton, a J.D. candidate at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, along with other law students came after IU’s decision to dissolve and defund the Indiana Daily Student (IDS), the student newspaper at Indiana University Bloomington.

Xiphos "Performative Male Contest"

Xiphos Corps Dance Community, a collegiate dance community at Indiana University Indianapolis, hosted a “performative male” competition on Oct. 1, 2025. This contest played off the recent internet joke of a performative male–a man who drinks matcha, listens to indie artists and reads feminist literature. Boba milk tea and donuts were sold at the event, with proceeds benefiting the organization.
