Xiphos "Performative Male Contest"

Xiphos Corps Dance Community, a collegiate dance community at Indiana University Indianapolis, hosted a “performative male” competition on Oct. 1, 2025. This contest played off the recent internet joke of a performative male–a man who drinks matcha, listens to indie artists and reads feminist literature. Boba milk tea and donuts were sold at the event, with proceeds benefiting the organization.

Students, alumni and community members came together for IU Indianapolis’ annual Regatta on Sept. 21, 2025. From canoe races on the Downtown Canal to campus booths, live art and four-legged friends, the day highlighted Jaguar spirit and tradition.

IUI Jagathon hosted their annual Battleships competition on Sept. 23 alongside IUI Regatta to create excitement for the Regatta canoe race happening on Saturday, Sept. 27 while also raising money for Riley Children’s Hospital. The event also promoted Jagathon’s spring dance marathon.

Held on May 2, IU Indianapolis hosted its 12th annual Jagapalooza celebration. Student celebrated the end of the spring semester with carnival rides, games, free merch, food stands and more. The event is planned and run by the Student Activities Programming Board (SAPB) and supported by the Division of Student Affairs (DSA).

On Sept. 28 IU hosted it's 16th annual Regatta and first post IUPUI split. Student participated in canoe races, games, a dog costume contest and voted to crown this year's Regatta royalty.

 IUI hosts Battleships competition on Sept. 24 to raise money for the Herman B. Wells Research Center. Battleships is a competition hosted by Jagathon every year during the week leading up to Regatta.

Jaguar 5K and Mental Health Mile

On September 9th, IUPUI hosted the inaugural Jaguar 5K and Mental Health Mile to raise awareness for mental health. Additionally, the event raised $3,000 for recovery scholarships. The 5K began on the Carroll Stadium track, went over the Canal, down the Fall Creek trail and back to Carroll Stadium.

 After being postponed last week, residence halls across campus hosted Community Tie Dye Night Tuesday evening in their courtyard. Each residence hall had a unique set of colors for their residents to use.

500 Festival Parade

On Saturday, May 27, 2013, more than 200,000 packed the streets of downtown Indianapolis to watch the 500 Festival Parade that preluded the Indianapolis 500. As a part of the procession, drivers waved to fans and signed autographs, marching bands performed, and many floats passed by the cheering spectators. In addition, the IUPUI cheerleaders also participated in the parade.

Women's Tennis Sweeps Doubleheader Against Rose Hulman

IUPUI Women's Tennis extends their winning streak to six games as they sweep a doubleheader against Rose Hulman. The team won 7-0 in the first match and 4-0 in the second match. IUPUI did not drop a single set in their dominant win over the division III opponent.

IUPUI Women's Basketball Beats Youngstown State

IUPUI Women's Basketball defeats Youngstown State at home 87-80 to gain control of 3rd Place in the Horizon League with just one game until the Horizon League Tournament. The trio of Jazmyn Turner, Destiny Perkins, and Natalie Andersen led the team with a combined 57 points. Logan Lewis and Ali Berg also had double-digit point totals in the win.  This win gives IUPUI a home game in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League Tournament. That quarterfinal game will be at the Jungle on Thursday, March 2nd at 7 pm.
