IU Indianapolis graduate students cover eventful 2025 Sugar Bowl

IU Indianapolis graduate students Chris Schumerth and Cort Street were in New Orleans to cover the 2025 Sugar Bowl between Notre Dame and the University of Georgia for the IU Indianapolis Sports Capital Journalism Program on January 1. In the early morning hours on the scheduled day of the game, a man drove a pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street, killing 14. The driver had an ISIS flag on his truck, police reported.

Cultural Connections participates in first Regatta

Cultural Connections at IUI made their first appearance at the 16th Annual Regatta on Saturday, Sep. 29 in Military Park. The first-year organization rowed their canoes on an overcast and intermittently rainy day in Indianapolis. While the weather posed challenges, Cultural Connections managed to complete their first Regatta as an organization.
