Local Restaurants to Support During COVID-19 Social Distancing

On March 16, all Indiana restaurants and bars were closed through the end of the month, excluding takeout and delivery. On March 23, Gov. Holcomb, issued an executive order directing Indiana residents to stay at home and avoid all but essential activities outside the home. With all the closures because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it forces many people to stay home. However, there are still some local restaurants in Indianapolis still open for takeout. Here are some Indianapolis favorites that are open: 

Condado Tacos - Broad Ripple

Condado Tacos have a build-your-own-taco concept. They have been operating since 2014 with their first location in Columbus, Ohio. With multiple locations throughout the Midwest, their taco is a fan favorite. During this time, the Broad Ripple location is opened daily 11am-10pm until further notice. They are offering curbside pick-up and delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Yannis Golden Gyros

 A small, local restaurant on the westside of Indy, Yannis Golden Gyros, has received high ratings on Yelp, Facebook, and Google reviews for their gyros, Greek salads, baklava, wings, burgers and many more menu items. This local gem is open for takeout orders during their regular business hours until further notice.

AlRayan Restaurant

This local restaurant offers a wide range of Middle Eastern cuisine, which are 100% halal dishes. During this time period, the restaurant is only doing deliveries. Hours have not changed until further notice.

Steer-In Restaurant

A restaurant with rich history, Steer-In, offers a vast American menu that ranges from monelets to fried chickens. The restaurant first opened in 1960 and went through several changes to its current version first established in 2007. Many of the recipes are still the original one including the signature burger twin steer, coleslaw and cream pie. Their restaurant is still open for take-out.
